SorbaView® SHIELD Dressing
From £0.0000
Medline’s SorbaView® SHIELD Integrated Securement Dressing offers the end user a one-step dressing solution and a specially designed catheter securement system for use on various sites, like the arterial line. The system also eliminates the need for a secondary securement device.
To protect the catheter from movement and accidental removal, the catheter securement window dressing includes SHIELD technology that can resist a nine-vector force pull. The built-in securement withstands multi-directional tugging forces, holding the catheter firmly in place. This is the safest option for catheter stabilisation.
Additionally, to reduce the risk of infections, such as central line bloodstream infections (CLABSIs), the large SorbaView dressing offers a breathable barrier against external bacteria. Further, the SHIELD stays securely in place for long wear times—up to seven days for central lines, and 96 hours or until clinically indicated for peripheral catheters.
Finally, for easy identification, we’ve also attached a patient label to the back of the SHIELD dressing, which can ease the work of healthcare staff.
The product range is wide to provide a solution to various needs in a number of situations. Find the list of our different sizes and shapes below: Sizes
