Medline Europe Surgical Gloves Portfolio now 100% WRAP-Certified

Medline Europe’s complete surgical gloves portfolio has achieved 100 per cent compliance status under Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP). Complete WRAP certification means all Medline-produced surgical gloves are now sourced from WRAP-certified facilities, with 90 per cent of them made in a Platinum WRAP-certified facility.
WRAP is an independent, objective, non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane, and ethical manufacturing around the world. They have developed 12 principles to guide facilities towards achieving certification. The principles are based on the rule of law within each country and include the spirit or language of relevant International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions.
Value of WRAP certification
Facilities that have demonstrated full compliance through three consecutive audits are awarded platinum level certification, which is valid for two years. These manufacturers must successfully pass each audit, with no corrective actions, and maintain continuous certification with no gaps between certification periods.
This is the first surgical glove facility to achieve Platinum status, placing Medline amongst the few companies in the industry that can claim this distinction. With this certification, Medline can ensure its gloves not only meet the highest surgical standards, but also align with ethical practices, social compliance and environmental standards.
