At this year’s ANDE Congress in Palma de Mallorca, Medline EMEA was awarded “Most Sustainable Booth”, marking its second sustainability award in Spain following recognition at the ANECORM Congress in Bilbao, October 2025.

Organized by the Spanish Association of Nursing Managers, ANDE is the country’s leading annual event for nursing leadership. It brings together senior nursing managers and their teams , key decision-makers involved in product evaluation, procurement processes, and daily patient care . With more than 1,100 attendees from major hospitals across the country, the event provided a powerful platform to connect with key decision-makers. For Medline, it was also an opportunity to demonstrate how we make healthcare run better while supporting a more sustainable approach to care delivery.

A design that reflects purpose and responsibility

From the moment visitors approached the stand, the intention was clear: this was not a traditional booth. The clean, open design combined strong visual appeal with functionality, allowing healthcare professionals to explore Medline’s solutions in an intuitive and engaging way.

At the heart of the space was an interactive wall that blended product displays with digital access points, supported by structured shelving, integrated screens, and smart storage solutions. The booth reflected Medline’s commitment to advancing healthcare, together, creating a space where practical solutions and responsible choices come together.

“The goal was to create a space that reflects who we are as a company today - reliable, responsible, and close to our customers,” said Michela Toffali, Marketing and Communications Director EMEA.

Reimagining engagement through digital solutions

A defining feature of this year’s booth was its fully paper-free approach, replacing traditional printed materials with digital alternatives that enhanced both sustainability and user experience.

Visitors could access product information instantly via QR codes integrated into the displays, while iPads supported more in-depth discussions with the Medline team. A dedicated digital system enabled seamless lead collection, and an augmented reality experience allowed attendees to explore the urology portfolio directly on their own devices.

This approach reflects Medline’s commitment to caring for health, caring for people, and caring for the planet, reducing waste while improving how healthcare professionals engage with information through innovative solutions.

“By leveraging digital tools, we were able to significantly reduce waste while maintaining high-quality interactions with healthcare professionals,” said Oliver Watts, Sustainability Director.

The approach proved effective, generating strong engagement and dozens of valuable new connections during the congress .

A collective effort towards a more sustainable future

Sustainability was embedded not only in the visitor experience, but also in the way the booth was built and operated. Developed in collaboration with a local partner, the stand followed a reusable concept and aligned with strict sustainability standards, with its environmental impact measured against traditional alternatives.

The recognition from ANDE reflects a broader shift within the healthcare industry and Medline’s role in supporting that progress.

“This award represents the importance that ANDE places on sustainability and confirms that we are moving in the right direction as a company,” said Paulino Lopez, Marketing Manager Iberia.

At the same time, the experience provided valuable insights. While digital tools were well received, the team also recognized the continued importance of hands-on interaction, especially for clinical audiences.

“Our next step is to further improve how we combine sustainability with direct product experience, particularly for nurses who value that tactile connection,” Paulino added.

A milestone moment

Winning the “Most Sustainable Booth” award at the largest ANDE Congress to date marks an important milestone for Medline in Spain. It reflects not only strong collaboration across teams, but also a clear commitment to embedding sustainability into every aspect of the company’s presence.

More than recognition, it reinforces Medline’s approach: delivering practical, responsible solutions that support healthcare professionals today and in the future.
