Medline’s SorbaView® SHIELD Dressing with 1-Part HubGuard offers the end user an effective PICC line securement dressing that combines SHIELD technology with the HubGuard system. It is designed for use with all types of PICCs, including silicone and polyurethane catheters and has dimensions of 9.5 x 13.9 cm.
The one-part HubGuard-enhanced catheter securement system helps with managing the risk of bloodstream infections (CRBSIs) associated with central lines. In addition, it allows for patient comfort by reducing skin irritation, thanks to an integrated gentle adhesive. Its dressing contouring design is also compatible with antimicrobial disks.
In addition, the PICC line dressing makes things easier for clinical staff, as it can remain on the patient’s skin for seven days. During the time the catheter is in place, the catheter site is consistently protected from infections, by way of a moisture-wicking absorbent pad.
