The Reality of Breast Cancer

Breast cancer can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or location. Across Europe, it remains a significant health challenge, accounting for an estimated 13.8% of all new cancer diagnoses in 2022, making it the most diagnosed cancer in the European Union (1).

While breast cancer can occur in both women and men, women are the most affected, approximately 99% of all breast cancer cases are diagnosed in women (2). These numbers highlight the need to tackle breast cancer through raising awareness, early detection, and regular screenings.

Every October, Medline ‘turns pink’ in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Since 2024, we expanded our efforts to support breast cancer patients all year long by launching a partnership with Think Pink Europe.

Think Pink Europe is a leading breast cancer charity, whose primary goal is to close gaps in access to healthcare across Europe and support individuals through their challenging breast cancer journeys.

This multi-year partnership allows us to take action against breast cancer by expanding our awareness initiatives, not only among our employees and healthcare professionals, but also within communities, by giving back through donations that make a direct impact.
