Medline Iberia Receives the Discert Certification as a Company Committed to People with Disability

On 4 November, Medline Iberia received the Discert Certification, which endorses us as a company socially committed to people with disability (PWD). This certification demonstrates Medline Iberia’s compliance with the LISMI (Law on Social Integration for the Disabled), and our social commitment to people with any type of disability.


As companies, we play an important role in socio-labour integration, as well as in compliance with the LISMI. This law has been in force since 7 April 1982 and mandates both private and public companies to reserve 2 per cent of jobs for people with disability (for companies with more than 50 employees).


Our organisation has been recognised with the SILVER distinction. This means that Medline Iberia goes beyond compliance with the law with the actions and policies that it applies in its business practices regarding the labour inclusion of people with any type of disability.


Complying with the legal requirements of the LISMI and obtaining the Discert Certification are possible through the direct hiring of personnel, contracting services or products to special employment centres, donations and/or sponsorships, or establishing a labour enclave in the company itself.
