SorbaView® Ultimate Securement Dressing with Slit Closure Piece and 1 Tape Strip
Medline’s SorbaView® Ultimate Securement Dressing with Slit Closure Piece and 1 Tape Strip provides a highly permeable, transparent film dressing that has an innovative multi-layer construction. It has dimensions of 12 x 10.8 cm and is recommended for use during jugular procedures.
To help protect the skin, moisture build-up is wicked away into a fibrous, absorbent and non-adherent pad, where breathing through the upper film and film/fabric layers continues. This pad material is fenestrated to form a ‘window’ in the dressing.
And to present a strong protective barrier against external contaminants and liquids, a semipermeable polyurethane film membrane covers and surrounds the fenestrated pad. This thin film is clear and ideally suited for use in the care of intravenous catheter sites.
The adhesive non-woven fabric layer on top completes the dressing. This outer border of fabric strengthens the dressing as it conforms comfortably to patients’ skin and is comfortable to the touch.
Finally, for enhanced support to secure jugular catheters, the dressing features one adhesive securement strip.
