VaPrevent Q4 24-Hour Kit
Medline’s VaPrevent Q4 24-Hour Kit helps reduce the risk of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). It also provides a solution for streamlining regular oral/dental care for patients on a ventilator machine in an intensive care unit (ICU). The VaPrevent Q4 24-Hour Kit is optimised with all necessary, easy-to-use oral health-related items, and was developed in partnership with healthcare professionals.
Our Q4 24-hour kit has six dental trays for performing oral hygiene every 4 hours, as recommended, for patients with a higher risk of developing VAP. Below are high-quality components included in each kit: 2 Suction toothbrush trays outfitted with:
o 1 Suction toothbrush
o 1 Suction swab
o 1 DenTips® Oral Swab
o 1 Moisturiser 4 Suction swab trays comprising:
o 1 Suction swab
o 1 DenTips Oral Swab
o 1 Moisturiser
In order to ensure you are able to perform complete oral care on patients at risk of developing VAP, all our trays include a suction swab and moisturiser. This will help mitigate the onset of dry mouth, which a ventilated patient’s mouth can experience if it is not regularly cleaned and hydrated.
And to achieve reduced waste and increased efficiency, our rigid trays already integrate a cup to pour mouthwash or other recommended oral care liquids.
Finally, three options for convenient storage at the patient’s bedside are offered, thanks to an included plastic strap.
