HubGuard® PE Foam 2-Part Securement Dressing with Adhesive
Medline’s HubGuard® PE Foam 2-Part Securement Dressing with Adhesive securely anchors the catheter at the infusion site while providing a soft barrier between the rigid hub and the patient's skin. It has dimensions of 4 x 1.6 cm.
HubGuard® enhances stability to reduce the pistoning effect of the catheter in the vein, thereby reducing catheter migration, dislodgement, and unscheduled IV restarts. This is possible with the help of double-sided adhesive.
The integrated cushioning provides comfort from rigid catheter hubs, which means the skin is protected. In addition, the adhesive is gentle on the skin, as it is non-irritating despite remaining in place for at least 72 hours. Securement dressing does not contain any latex, helping to eliminate allergies.
